The Kent region is easy to travel to from all directions by road, rail, air and sea.

By road, Sevenoaks is situated close to the M25 London Orbital. To the south of Sevenoaks lie the towns of Tonbridge and Royal Tunbridge Wells. The M20 travels east towards Folkestone passing the towns of Maidstone and Ashford. The M2 runs from Dartford to Canterbury and Dover passing the Medway coastal towns of Gravesend, Gillingham and Sittingbourne.

Flights are available from three airports within a reasonable distance of the Kent region:

London Gatwick: 80 miles, 1 hour 30 mins esimtated driving time from the centre of Dover London Heathrow:104 miles, 1 hour 40 mins estimated driving time from the centre of Dover London City Airport: 81 miles, 1 hour 30 mins estimated driving time from the centre of Dover

The area is well served by ferries, with major deep-water ports at Dover (one mile from Dover town centre) and Newhaven (80 miles from Dover, between Eastbourne and Brighton). Both ports have extensive services to France.

Travelling to Kent by train is easy, with regular trains from London Victoria and London Charing Cross.

Both Brighton Poole Valley Coach Station and London Victoria Coach Station are approximately the same distance from the region, although London Victoria Coach Station offers the best choice of connections to the rest of the UK.
