The Lleyn Peninsula and Anglesey have excellent local train services and links to London as well as the rest of the UK. Arriva Trains Wales now operates local and regional trains throughout Wales, including the former Wales and Border Trains and Valley Lines.

The North Wales Coast Railway trains cross to the island of Anglesey via the Brittania tubular railway bridge, designed by Robert Stephenson - son of George of the "Rocket" fame.

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyndrobwllllantisiliogogogoch - the train station with the longest name - is on the route to Holyhead.
