Overlooking the Glasshouse Mountains is the impressive Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve. Take a meander along one of the established walking paths and discover the beauty of a rainforest submerged in the strangling roots of giant fig trees. The endangered Coxens Fig Parrot, rare Grey Goshawk and colonies of Red-necked Pademelons are also established visitors. Brush turkeys, the Red legged pademelon, Imperial fruit moths, mountain crayfish, Giant barred frog, the Angle-headed dragon, the Red-bellied black snake and the Marbled frogmouth all call the 52 hectares of subtropical forest home.
