Stour Music Festival is the annual festival of early music founded in 1963 by the celebrated counter-tenor Alfred Deller. It takes place at the end of June each year and its name came from the River Stour, which runs along the valley between Ashford and Canterbury.
Concerts are held in the beautiful Pilgrim church of All Saints' Boughton Aluph, situated in the heart of the Kent countryside, and renowned for its superb acoustic.
This is a non-profit making company, formed to help Stour Music provide annual festivals of a high standard in East Kent.
