Hat Works

Hat Works is located in Stockport, one of Manchester's leading hat making towns and is the UK's only museum dedicated solely to hats and headwear.

The museum focuses on the development of the hatting industry and shows a large collection of twentieth century British hats including top hats, bowler hats, trilbies, 1950/1960's ladies synthetic hats and all kinds dating from the 1930's.

The museum holds live demonstrations of working machinery combined with an extensive collection of hats and stimulating audio-visual shows create an experience, which is thought provoking, educational and fun.
