Norfolk Island Airport (NLK/ YSNF) is the only airport on Norfolk Island.

The airport was built during World War II as a defensive measure. After the war it became a stopover for aircraft travelling between Australia, New Caledonia, New Zealand and the Solomon Islands.

Norfolk Air is based on Norfolk Island and operated by OzJet. It provides services between Norfolk Island and Sydney, Brisbane, Hamilton, Newcastle, and Melbourne. Air New Zealand also flies to Norfolk from Auckland twice weekly.

*Norfolk Island is an External Territory of Australia causing most flights from the Australian mainland to operate from International Terminals. Australian citizens are still required to carry a passport.
