Further Information
Our Rooms The Green room is complete with en-suite wet room and double heated water/mud bed. This room looks out across the very pretty village green where you can often see the ducks wondering around. The Blue room is very quiet & overlooks our garden. This room has a good size separate bathroom (with bath & shower) for your sole use. It is a equipped with a fantastically comfortable Dunlopillo bed with Latex mattress (anti-allergy type) and has a couple of lovely antique Windsor chairs to relax in. Both rooms use top of the range Dorma Bedding, have antique furniture, a combined TV/DVD/CD player with Freeview and you have a hospitality tray including a selection of different teas, coffee, hot chocolate and fresh milk (no plastic cartons!). Free WiFi access too.
Further Information
Our Breakfasts For our cooked breakfasts we grill local outdoor reared pork sausages & dry-cured bacon from local butcher Peter Coates of Alrewas. Our eggs are from Ben just outside the village, they are happy hens that are free to roam around outside - the yolks are a beautiful dark yellow colour and they taste divine! We also cook fresh tomatoes, mushrooms, fried bread and of course baked beans. We also serve scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, fresh fruit salad, fresh grapefruits, Greek yoghurt, porridge with maple syrup, home made muesli, home made marmalade and preserves and cereals. We use fresh fruit-juice (no long-life stuff here!) and seasonal produce from our garden such as baked rhubarb, apples, blackberries & even pears. We won a Visit Britain Breakfast Award too ..!
Further Information
We are not just any old bed and breakfast, we're friendly people, it's a lovely cosy cottage, we engage with our guests so that you have a nice stay. We cater for leisurely breakfasts, you can keep drinking your coffee until after 11am and we won't mind ..! Don't rush your checkout, we don't ask you to be out by a certain time, we'll let you know if we do need to get the room ready for the next people .. You can use our dining room at any time or sit out in our garden, even wander out onto the village green and feed the village ducks! We have a great pub in the village now, the Black Horse is CAMRA accredited and has recently won pub of the year for the local area. It doesn't serve food (only cobs), but great cask ales. If you do fancy some food, our other pub is an Indian Restaurant and there are several great places to eat only a few miles away. Come & visit us, you won't be disappointed!
Location
We're right in the middle of the village opposite the brook and village green. Look out for the yellowy cottage and the friendly welcome.
