Melbourne Oyster Bar opened its doors in October of 1976 offering abundant range of seafood, product much of which had never been seen by the general public.
With the introduction of such things as King Island Crabs, the first release of Tasmanian Oysters, and various fish species that before had never been given the time of day.
All due to the success of the restaurant and most definitely by the drive and passion that came from a professional and dedicated team.
In recognition for this we received numerous awards both within the industry and beyond. This is why the Melbourne Oyster Bar is noted as one of Melbourne's Establishment and carries the nickname "House of Seafood".
