Local Area: Llanwrtyd Wells is world famous for its 'Green Events' including Bog Snorkelling, Man versus Horse Marathon and Real Ale Wobble. Nearby, are the Brecon Beacons, Rhayader and the Elan Valley also the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. Builth Wells, home of the Royal Welsh Showground, is less than 10 miles away and the local area regularly hosts National Motor Rally events. Finally, Llanwrtyd Wells is on the Heart of Wales Railway Line, which runs from Shrewsbury to Swansea through some of the most beautiful scenery in Wales.
