ACDC Lane

Melbourne is a city of over 180 tiny lanes and miniscule streets. ACDC Lane is one of these, the only difference being it is the only lane in Australia dedicated to a rock band.

The lane was formerly called Corporation Lane, but was renamed in 2004 partly because the music video 'It's a Long Way to the Top' was filmed on Melbourne's Swanston Street, near the now named ACDC Lane. One month after the street was renamed, ACDC's symbolic lightning bolt was erected above and below the street sign but due to its disappearance several times was eventually removed permanently.
