Looking upon the sleek ultra-modern exterior and the bright, airy interior of North Beach's Attivo, 'traditional' is the last word to spring to mind.
However, behind the double doors of the kitchen, Attivo is all about tradition, albeit with a contemporary twist. After almost eight years at the helm of Hobart's Da Angelo Ristorante, chef and owner Tyrone Hinds made the move west to introduce a little Mediterranean chic to North Beach's sophisticated dining scene.
