The Golden Spurtle is an annual World Porridge Making Championships held in Carrbridge, Inveness-shire. The competition is organised by the Carrbridge and Vicinity Community Council and takes place every October.
The World Porridge Making Championship title will be awarded to the competitor producing the best traditional porridge, made from oatmeal.
The event also holds the Carrbridge Challenge Fun Run and a 5km and 3km run to raise money for Maggie's Highland's Cancer caring centre.
