Brecknock Hotel

The Brecknock Hotel is significant because it is associated with the Bray Family, the most noted of whom was Sir John Cox Bray, the colony's first South Australian born premier in 1881.

The Bray family owned the hotel form approximately 50 years. Since then, the Moore Family has held the licence for over 100 years. It is a landmark building in this section of the City of Adelaide with its whimsical architecture.
