Located in the Belconnen Town Centre, the park is a popular place for locals. A key feature is the pedestrian path system which provides the key link between the Belconnen ridge of Chandler Street and developments at the lower level. The Belconnen Library is also found in the park and features pergolas with climbing plants. Nearby planting boxes and red brick paving add to the formality of the design. Another unique feature is six advanced Canary Island date palms (Phoenix canariensis) situated in the centre of the park. The sculpture "Tumbling Cubes" by Bert Flugelman is located at the north-west corner and two grass pyramids have been added as sculptural elements. At various times of the year these are planted with flowers, to create an organic visual symphony.

The park is also home to large groups of English elms (Ulmus procera), London planes (Platanus x acerifolia) and river oaks (Casuarina cunninghamiana), all of which are large scale trees.
