Getting There: Mission Beach is located on the Great Green Way, Tropical North Queensland coast between Cairns and Townsville. If you are heading to Mission Beach from the south, turn off at the Bruce Highway north of Tully and it is approx 26 km to Mission Beach. If you are wishing to hire a car in Townsville Avis, Budget or Hertz are the only companies that you will be able to use. From the north turn off at the Bruce Highway at El Arish (opposite El Arish Golf Course) and follow Cassowary Drive into Mission Beach approx. 16kms. Sugarland Car Rentals has an office in Cairns and Mission Beach. They are happy to hire vehicles on a one way basis, i.e. from Cairns to Mission Beach.
