Owned and operated by Amelie Bonnet, daughter of French Chef/Restaurateur Michel Bonnet and restaurant beauty Trisha Bonnet. Born into a family of Restaurateurs, Amelie started working in restaurants from before she was ten.
Having returned from 5 years abroad, from New York to London to Vancouver, in 2003 Amelie went to Cairns to open the original C'est Bon, with the help from her French father.
C'est Bon is a typically classic styled restaurant with wooden floorboards, bentwood chairs, white linen... it has an intimately warm feel to it, quite similar to the French bistro interiors of Restaurants in New York and Paris. The menu features Michel's Classical French Dishes, expedited by young and talented French Chef, Thomas Routhieau (from Nantes), which is unlike anything Port Melbourne has experienced in years.
