Along the Birrigai Time Trail at Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve, traces of the previous inhabitants can be seen in boulder shelters, camps and tool making sites.

The shelter is the oldest Aboriginal site known in the ACT region and is about 21, 000 years old.

People interested in Aboriginal heritage should also visit the Bogong Cave, Tidbinbilla Mountain and the Yankee Hat Walking Track in Namadgi National Park.

For more information visit the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve Visitors Centre on Paddys River Road, Tidbinbilla Admission charges apply from April.
