The fifth biennial Pinot Noir Celebration will be held January or February 2011. Mornington Peninsula Vignerons invite Pinot Noir enthusiasts to celebrate the magic of this cool climate variety with a global perspective.
The Celebration includes Pinot Noir from around the world tasted alongside national and international wine media, including producers and consumers from the US, France, Chile, Austria, New Zealand and Australia, during two days of serious fun! Taste wines during two days on the Mornington Peninsula, visit local Cellar Doors for lunches and experience dinners created by outstanding regional Chefs for your enjoyment and to simply match great food with great Pinot.
Guest Wineries will represent France, Canada, Oregon, California, New Zealand, Australia and of course Mornington Peninsula. The 2009 keynote Speaker was Jancis Robinson MW and Guest Producer Frederic Mugnier of Domaine Jacques-Frederic Mugnier. Guests in 2011 will be announced in 2010.
In 2009, the inaugural Pinot Garden Showcase was also held. On the Sunday following the Celebration (Friday & Saturday) from 11am - 4pm in an exceptional setting visitors can relax with a regional selection of Pinots and local fine food and have an opportunity to participate in a short Masterclass..
