The 5,000 acres of Mount Alexandra Reserve includes Box Vale Walking Track, Nattai Loop Track, Forty Foot Falls, Yellow Track, Green Track & Red Track. Bounded in the south by Mittagong, Welby and Willow Vale, it extends north along the Nattai River Valley for 8 kilometres.

The bushland reserve is rich in native flora, fauna and interesting landscapes. There are picnic areas with town water and toilets at Lake Alexandra and Boxvale Track car park near Welby. Katoomba lookout is on top of Mount Alexandra and Nattai Gorge Lookout is at the end of the Boxvale Track. High up on Mount Alexandra you can get some great views across the hills and valleys to the Blue Mountains. The reserve is cared for by Wingecarribee Shire Council and the Mount Alexandra Reserve Bushcare Group.
