Hermit Caves

When in Griffith make sure to visit the poignant caves built and inhabited by Valerio Ricetti an Italian immigrant. The rocky outcrop caves are located just minutes from the Griffith CBD and for nearly a decade were Valerio's home.

The series of caves, walk ways, gardens, terraces and even a chapel were built by Ricetti during his time at the hill. Before proceeding to the caves obtain a copy of the Hermit's story from the Visitor Information Centre.
