Kemp Beach is arguably one of the best beaches on the Capricorn Coast. Located on the southern side of Rosslyn Bay the beach boasts magnificent views across the sparkling ocean to the Keppel Islands. A narrow isthmus connects Double Head to the mainland and the coastal walk over it is usually rewarded with turtle sightings. Headlands at each end of Kemp Beach give good protection allowing sandy deposits to build up. There are BBQ and picnic facilities behind the beach at the right end of Bluff Head where a 2.3 km. walking track begins. The track forms a loop with two lookouts.
While in Emu park see the Singing Ship, a soaring white sculpture on the headland, designed as a monument to Captain Cook.
