Byron Bay Microlights school offers a menu of Trial Introductory Fights (TIF) to suit every budget. We also offer flights with extras: whale watching, aerial photography instruction, cross country flying, tailor made flights.

We are on the coastline amidst beautiful countryside within a few minutes' flying time of famous Byron Bay and the Great Dividing Range with famous Mount Warning and its massive volcanic rim.

TIF flight might be your first open air air experience but it is also your first lesson in a microlight aircraft. It is your chance to experience the truly amazing sensation of flight in one of these small, yet incredibly robust, flying machines.

Whilst in the air, you will be overcome by the beauty of the 'rainbow region' endless beaches and majestic shore headlands.

Further Information: Based at Tyagarah Aerodrome near Byron Bay, Byron Bay Microlights is a recently established microlight flying school. We also provide full microlight pilot training courses leading to the Microlight Pilot's Licence for recreational purpose. Come and try microlight flying, one of the greatest adventure experiences you will ever have. Microlight flying, is the fastest growing recreational sport in the world. It is also very safe, hugely exciting and incredibly spectacular.
Location: We are located 6 km north of Byron Bay on the Pacific Highway. It takes only 10 minutes by car to get to the airstrip. Take Ewingsdale Road towards the Gold Coast and turn off at Tyagarah Airfield exit. Pass the first left, bitumin turn and take the second left turn - dirt road. From there drive about 200 metres to the blue aircraft hangars. We are in the bigger hangar on the right or you can call in the Club House.
