One of the popular scenic drives around Camden Haven is a thirty kilometre round trip that encompasses many of the scenic wonders the area has to offer. Take the Captain Cook Bicentenary Drive from Ocean Drive to the summit of North Brother in the Dooragan National Park and enjoy one of the best views on the NSW coast. There is a short rainforest walk around the summit or a walk down the mountain to the back of Laurieton.
On leaving the mountain, turn right onto Ocean Drive and left at St Josephs School. The road takes you to Henry Kendall Reserve where and Stingray Creek, a perfect place to stop for lunch or a quick dip. Drive through Laurieton and across the bridge to Dunbogan, turn left onto The Boulevard and follow the road 3 kms to Camden Head to find Kattang Nature Reserve. This 58 hectares of coastal bush is bordered by the sharp vertical cliffs of Perpendicular Point. The reserve is home to many plant and animal species. June and July are great for bird and whale watching and August to September usually has spectacular wildflowers. There are also two walks through Kattang about two hour's duration.
End the day with a stroll along Pilot Beach or a swim in the ocean.
