Way Way Forest Drive is a beautiful route through the bushland of the Way Way State Forest, near Macksville.
The round trip is roughly 29km long, and takes approx 2hrs. The drive starts 7km south of Macksville where Rosewood Road leaves the old highway at Warrell Creek.
Follow the Forest Drive markers along Rosewood Road, Way Way Creek Road, then back to Scotts Head Road.
A highlight of the drive is the panoramic Yarrahapinni Lookout, which can be accessed via an 8-km deviation road.
Points of interest include the Blackbutt forest, the Pines Picnic Area and the Way Way Creek forest walk. Pack a picnic and stop at the Pines Picnic Area. The starting point for Way Way Creek Forest Walk (500m) can be found here.
