Riddlesdown Cottage is located on the Angus River in historic Macclesfield in the picturesque Adelaide Hills. The cottage and main house rests on half an acre of gardens, with many species of birds visiting the property daily. At night you will hear several species of frogs and crickets, and owls calls are quite common.
The cottage features TV, DVD player, CD/MP3 player, microwave, toaster, hairdryer and ironing facilities. Electric blankets, quality linen and bath sheets are provided.
Macclesfield is an ideal place to base yourself in the Adelaide hills. In Macclesfield itself you can walk to the Three Brothers Arms for a wood oven pizza and an imported ale, explore the Angus river in Lord Robinson Park, and visit the weekly Sunday market at the institute.
A 15 minute scenic drive could see you in Strathalbyn, Meadows, Echunga, Hahndorf, Littlehampton or Mount Barker, and the McLaren vale wine region is within 20 minutes drive.
