Canunda National Park is a beautiful coastal park ideal for bushwalking, fishing, surfing, four-wheel driving, bird watching and nature studies.

The 40km of coastline with beaches, rocky headlands and reef platforms, offers excellent fishing opportunities.

Depending on season and conditions, beaches may yield mulloway, salmon, sharks and rays, while sweep, abalone and crayfish can be caught from rocks.

The northern section of the park is characterised by limestone cliffs, sea stacks, offshore reefs and low dense scrub. Several walking trails can be enjoyed, including Cape Buffon Walk, Seaview Walk, Willichum Lookout Walk and the Coola Outstation Historical Walk.

Interpretive signs showing details of the coastal walks are located at various car parks in the northern section of the park.

Camping is permitted within designated areas of the park, however fees do apply. Please contact the local DEH national park office for more information.
