Discovered in 1894, Victoria Cave is an important archaeological site known for its vast fossil collection - bones of thousands of animals that lived there during the last 500,000 years.

In 1969 cave explorers squeezed through a 25cm passage into a chamber containing thousands of fossils of amazing diversity - the most famous being the Megafauna.

Over 4,000 metres of collapse dome chambers connected by low passages comprise this complex cave. Many of the chambers are highly decorated, with about 400m developed for easy access.

Guided tours visit several of the caves decorated chambers, focusing on the large Fossil Chamber and World Heritage values. Other chambers may be visited on an extended adventure tour.
