Hobart's waterfront and famous Salamanca Place is only a 5 minute drive, or leave your car safe and sound and walk an easy 20-30 minutes- or catch the frequent local buses.

Further Information: We also have fully furnished 2 bedroom apartments available for lease for a minimum booking period of one month or as long as a year. Most have garden or city views with decks or patios for outdoor sitting and all are quiet and secluded, away from busy streets and noisy traffic.
History: Werndee is a unique Federation mansion built for the Premier of Tasmania in 1903. In the 1940s it was bought by the old Hobartian society and used as a hostel for up to 100 boys. In later years it became a conference centre and school of hospitality befor reverting to private ownership. Elegantly restored Werndee is a magnificent example of a classic Federation mansion and features beautiful local timbers, not least a magnificent Blackwood staircase.
