Laidley on Glass, is a portrait of a small Queensland Country town just prior to the start of WW1. Printed from the Original Glass negatives. Now restored and retouched.

Dani Mathewson, Photographer, and Great Grand Daughter of Queenslands most famous Professional Photographer, Thomas Mathewson, was so surprised that Sandy was unable to get a display space or funding for this showing of early Queensland photography, to honor her Great Grandfather also, she has closed her business and offered her Studio gallery space to show these wonderful photos.

Some of the best early photos you may ever see in a long time, and may never be seen again. The photographs were taken by Tom & Sam Marsden, brothers, who ran a small photographic studio in the main Street of Laidley, between the 1910s and 1915. The Marsden Brothers deserved to be regarded as master of photographic art with some of the most beautifully posed and detailed photographs of an era.
