Theres been a bookshop on this site since the early 1950s, making Macleay Bookshop one of Sydneys oldest and most loved bookstores, located in the old bohemian quarter at Potts Point.
Macleay Bookshop is a browsing store with old wooden shelving that forces the books to lie down.
A customer recently likened Macleay Bookshop to the Paris literary haven, Shakespeare & Co, and the shop also has figured in poetry, prose, fiction and memoir.
