Within the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds is the sleepy little village of Wold Newton, just four miles from the bustling town of Hunmanby This is a fascinating place, boasting not only pretty stone cottages, a village green and a duck pond but also the site of a meteorite hit There is an excellent pub in the village which serves food and is often frequented by walkers, passing through on the numerous public footpaths which connect the surrounding settlements The stunning coastline is only seven miles away and the seaside resorts of Filey and Bridlington are well worth visiting for their family attractions Slightly further a field is the historic Minster City of York; an ancient town dating back to the Viking invasion This cottage is a detached red-brick property offering very spacious and comfortable accommodation in the centre of the quiet village of Wold Newton Originally a cow-shed, the cottage has been completely modernised to create a beautiful holiday home The enclosed garden is also very child-friendly and with the beautiful beaches of the Yorkshire coast close by, this is a great spot for a traditional seaside break The market towns of Driffield, Malton and Beverley are all within easy driving distance and offer great days out whilst for those seeking a little more excitement Flamingo Land is close by .
