African Village

"Real African food" is the motto of the African Village Cafe, a one-of-a-kind eatery in the heart of Byron Bay.

As its name suggests, this friendly haven serves authentic village-style African cuisine; and the claims to authenticity aren't unfounded, as the dishes are infused with a bevy of spices imported straight from Mother Africa.

The meals show off a range of West and North African flavours, including the popular goat curry with cassava (a savoury version of a sweet potato, ground into couscous).
