Milroy Observatory, situated on 1000 hectares of bushland, borders the north-eastern corner of the Warrumbungle National Park in Coonabarabran.

Milroy Observatory offers accommodation at the Acacia Motor Lodge, a 6 bedroom house on site or budget accommodation in the bunkhouse at the camping ground across the road. Transport to and from the airport can be arranged.
