The idea for Cradle Mountain Canyons began when owner/operators, Anthony O'Hern and Tim Trevaskis, discovered that a world-class canyon existed right on the doorstep of Tasmania's beautiful Cradle Mountain.

These passionate and worldly adventurers found that this canyon can only be explored by canyoning, as it is hidden by 50 metre sheer quartzite walls. The area provides amazing waterfall jumps, natural water slides and abseiling oppurtunities.

Cradle Mountain Canyons have two tour options at the base of Cradle Mountain. The Lost World Canyon tour is a relaxing float through a beautiful section of river; children as young as 8 are welcome and for thrill seekers, there is the Dove Canyon tour; an action packed day of abseiling and waterfall jumps. Both provide an unforgettable experience in this most splendid part of Australia.
