The market is a hive of activity and is situated on a bustling intersection just in from the western entrance with colourful flags to distinguish the 'marquee of flavours'. The market's mission is to support and promote the production and sale of fresh local seasonal produce from the Eyre Peninsula and to assist in the development of a strong food culture in the region.
Daily in the market local chefs and producers will prepare light meals using oysters, prawns, whiting and kingfish, SAMM lamb and goat. Other products available for tasting and purchase include pickled and smoked seafood, smallgoods, gourmet pies and pasties, baked items, olives and olive oil, condiments, honey and wines. For the sweet tooth try some handmade fudge, chocolate coated liqueur olives or European biscuits and pastries with a cappuccino or latte from the market coffee bar. There will be plenty of room to sit, linger and explore the region's flavours, so come and enjoy.
