Taking its vintage vehicle exhibits to the people for almost three decades, the Historic Commercial Vehicle Association has a total fleet of 85 trucks and buses of all different models and makes.
To achieve a balanced approach to public transport vehicle preservation in New South Wales, the State Government made available in 1986 the former Tempe tram depot, off Gannon Street, to the H.C.V.A. as a working museum, storage and work site, so that buses and trucks could be restored and exhibited in a similar manner to fire engines, trams, trains and ships.
When you visit our museum, you get the added bonus of being able to purchase books, magazines, models, postcards, photographs, videos, calendars and much more. The Museum Shop has a wide range of books and souvenirs available. A selection of drinks and snacks can also be purchased from the shop. Open Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays: 10am - 3pm.
