This heritage listed building dates back to 1915 when it was known as "The Cleveland Inn" and a traditional 'locals' pub. Situated on the corner of Bourke and busy Cleveland Street, on the fringe of Surry Hills and Redfern, Bar Cleveland offers a unique casual atmosphere as well as the Level 1 Cocktail Bar and Function Room.
Bar Cleveland's refurbishment and restoration in 1995 won awards from the Australian Hotels Association for 'Best Redeveloped Hotel' to go alongside the 'Best Bar Presentation and Service' award. The building is featured in the Powerhouse Museum as a unique building of its time, including pub art and sandstone features. Although the refurbishment gave a polished and modern look, Bar Cleveland still manages to maitain it's traditional soul.
So if you're looking for a venue for a birthday or Corporate event, a relaxing cocktail after work, a late night drink, or to watch a sporting event, Bar Cleveland offers every type of night.
