Lords Lodge Backpackers Hostel

The Lords Lodge was the first hostel I'd ever stayed at and I've stayed there twice now. Pro's: Cool people Friendly staff Good location close to public transport. Walking distance to Chapel st (lots of shops, restaurants and cafe's) Just off Commercial rd (which is where alot of gay nightclubs are for those who might be interested) also I recommend a cafe on commercial rd called Cafe Dior (really good coffee) Upstairs there are two big bathrooms (and a few smaller ones) so you won't have to shower in a tiny cubicle Cons: Small Kitchen The place is a little dirty and there are things falling apart ... We loved this place! We stayed in one of the great bungalows in their lovely garden. Staff were fantastic. kitchen was small but always pretty clean. Free wireless and a great place to meet people. Also much quieter than the hostels in St Kilda ... Read More
