Connor Park is a 165 hectare rural property located on the banks of the meandering Bullock Creek, only 25 minutes from Bendigo and a comfortable 2 hour drive from Melbourne.
Nestled amongst a traditional farming enterprise is one of the Regions oldest blocks of Shiraz which was planted in the late 60s by the late Tom Connor who was better known for his development of Australian farming machinery through his company Connor Shea Machinery.
Tom, who had already invented the worlds first pick up baler and post hole digger had visions of perfecting an automatic grape harvester. Unfortunately a demanding business followed by ill health prevented his dreams from coming to fruition.
Tom Connor passed away in 1982 after being presented with an OBE for his services to Australian agriculture and the vines were left to run wild. In September 1985 Toms nephew and his wife purchased the property to run as a farming enterprise.
