Buchan Lodge offers quality backpackers accommodation at an affordable price. Ideally located on the banks of the Buchan River, the guest rooms include 28 bunk beds in 3 large dormitory style bedrooms.
The Lodge was built from pine logs and lined with natural timbers throughout. The large fully equipped kitchen invites you to cook up a gourmet delight, or you can enjoy an open air BBQ followed by a campfire under the stars.
Buchan lodge is situated on the north bank of the river across from the famous Buchan Caves Reserve, just minutes walk to the town facilities.

- Located 360km east of Melbourne, north of Bairnsdale and Lakes Entrance, Buchan is surrounded by rolling hills and farmland to the south, the spectacular and famous Snowy River to the east, the rugged wilderness of the Snowy River and Alpine National Parks to the north and the beautiful Timbara River popular for its trout fishing, to the west.
