A must see for every visitor to Alice!

Discover many of the secrets of Central Australian deserts at the Alice Springs Desert Park. Hundreds of species of plants and animals can be seen, smelt and heard. You will even have the opportunity to experience desert habitats as they are at night, seeing some of the animals near impossible to see in the wild.

Enjoy an easy walking trail through 3 desert habitats, witness free-flying birds of prey in the nature theatre, see rare and endangered animals in the nocturnal house and take a cinematic journey through 4½ billion years of desert evolution. The stories of the plants and animals of the desert are shared through interpretative displays, daily guide presentations, audio guides and movie displays. Professional Guides, including local Indigenous people, share stories including insights into the interlinking worlds of plants, animals and people.

When you leave the Park you will go away with new stories and some of the secrets of the desert.
