Nestled on 12 acres of exclusive grounds in the Hunter Valley and situated amongst rolling vineyards and the rugged Brokenback range, Berenbell features traditional Australian Colonial style beautifully proportioned self contained brick buildings, providing large comfortable and welcoming one bedroom Cottages and two bedroom Lodges, all featuring wide tiled verandahs. Floor to ceiling cedar bay windows adorn the Cottages.

Away from the hustle and bustle of busy roads, this is the perfect location for a romantic weekend away. Enter the spacious lounge dining kitchen of either the Cottages or Lodges to find we have catered for your every need.

This superb holiday destination enjoys magnificent views of rolling vineyards and the rugged Brokenback range, which is arguably the best vista in the Hunter Valley.

Berenbell is situated in close proximity to 8 Cellar Doors and 7 restaurants.

Things to do
Berenbell Vineyard Retreat is situated a short drive to the main hub of Pokolbin where 140 or so cellar doors and 60 or so restaurants are situated. Berenbell is situated in close proximity to 8 Cellar Doors and 7 restaurants. Attractions are many and varied. Winery tours by horse and carriage, bicycle or mini bus are all available. There is a plethora of art galleries, antique shops, cycle paths, walking paths, horse riding and beautiful gardens to explore or seek refreshment in one of Pokolbin's unique cafes. For the sporting and adventurous, there are also many options and challenges: golf, hot air ballooning, horse riding, joy flights and sky diving to name but a few. Berenbell is the perfect location to sit and relax and unwind on your very own private balcony sharing a bottle of Hunter wine watching the sun setting over the Brokenback Range after a fun-filled day of exploring what the Hunter Valley has to offer.
Getting There
From the Sydney Harbour Bridge, follow the signs to Hornsby, Newcastle and the North Coast. This will take you to the National Highway 1 (F3 Freeway) entrance at Wahroonga, via the Pacific Highway. Take the National Highway 1 north towards Newcastle, then take the Cessnock/Hunter Valley Vineyards exit, approximately one hour or 100kms from the start of the freeway. Follow the signs to Cessnock and the vineyards, turn left into Broke Road and then turn right into Hermitage Road. Mistletoe Lane is 3kms along on the left.
