Purpose designed for comfort in the wilderness, our five luxury timber and glass treehouses are perched on the banks of the flowing Ithaca River. Positioned for complete privacy each Treehouse has king beds, a double spa, a wood fireplace, fully self-contained kitchen, and a balcony with a BBQ and hammock. All are totally secluded and offer a spectacular retreat from the everyday.

In a world of rapidly shrinking ecosystems our protected 100 acres of high-country rainforest offers a phenomenally high density of rare and unique wildlife.

Cassowaries, Lumholtz's Tree Kangaroos and Green Possums call our forest home whilst shy Platypus inhabit our river. Pademelon Wallabies abound and Coppery Brushtail Possums will visit your balcony every night Wake to a serenade of birdsong every morning as an ever-changing parade of rainforest birds greet you on your Treehouse balcony. We are privileged to be the custodians of this very precious, special place.

Info for Disabled: There is a ground level unit with assisted wheelchair access and disabled bathroom facilities. Situated on the end of the main building but still very private, it overlooks the lawn to the surrounding forest making it ideal for birdwatching. It also gives a front row seat of the Pademelon wallabies, Bandicoots and Possums feeding on the lawn at night.
Getting There: We are a very comfortable 90 minute drive from Cairns set on the stunning Southern Cairns Highlands, (altitude 750m), and specialise in unique, self-contained accommodation in spectacular rainforest with fresh mountain air. Driving times from here would be approx 15 mins Millaa Millaa, Malanda and Lake Eacham, 30 min Atherton, 45 mins Ravenshoe, 1 hour Mareeba, making The Canopy Rainforest Treehouses the ideal base to see the best of the Tablelands.
