Kingfisher Bay Resort is a true beach holiday destination where you can stroll along deserted beaches leaving foot prints in the sand, sip cocktails as the sun sets over the sea and count the stars in the clear southern sky. Find your own private spot on the beach to watch the sunset sea or gather at the bar of the Jetty Hut. The calm waters are a haven for swimming, sailing, canoeing and fishing. Rangers guide nature walks, 4WD Fraser Island tours and other activities are available daily. Daily sailing trips go out to seek dolphins, dugong, and turtles and, from August to October, migrating humpback whales are also available. At Kingfisher Bay Resort, you can do as much or as little as you want.

Fraser Island lies off the Queensland coast, a 4 hour drive north of Brisbane. Daily coach and train transfers are also available from Brisbane. Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Qantas Airlines run daily direct flights to the Fraser Coast/Hervey Bay from Brisbane and Sydney with connections to all other ports. Kingfisher Bay Resort is a 45-minute ferry ride from Urangan Boat Harbour. Daily Catamaran timetable: Ex Hervey Bay: 8.45am, 12.00noon, 4.00pm, 7.00pm Ex Kingfisher: 7.40am, 10.30am, 2.00pm, 5.00pm A 4WD vehicle barge also departs daily from River Heads south of Hervey Bay. Vehicle barge Timetable: Ex River Heads: 7.15am, 11.00am, 2.30pm Ex Kingfisher: 8.30am, 1.30pm, 4.00pm Catamaran and Barge transfers time table are subject to changes.
