Woodlands offers a rare combination of indulgent adults only luxury in a truly secluded temperate rainforest in the mountains of the Black Spur, bordering the Yarra Valley. The architecturally designed self-contained bungalows are situated in rainforest remnant on 40 acres of native forest. Each luxury cottage bungalow is hidden in its own separate enclave within the rainforest, offering complete seclusion. They are completely out of sight, overlooking beautiful fern gullies and the Hermitage Creek, with the unforgettable sounds of the babbling creek to lull you to sleep at night.
Woodlands and the surrounding area to the south of Narbethong were not directly impacted by the 2009 bushfires.

- Woodlands offers a rare opportunity for guests to enjoy this wonderful temperate rainforest between the Yarra Valley and Marysville & Mountains environment without compromising on their comfort or luxury, while protecting the integrity of the natural environment. The bungalows act a perfect "hide" - protecting the rainforest from human interference while allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the rainforest. The four bungalows are split level and open plan with huge windows that look out at a wallpaper of living forest. Crafted from local materials - polished mountain ash floorboards, recycled myrtle beech benches and radially sawn yellow stringybark exterior cladding, the bungalows blend into the surrounding bush so perfectly that they seem part of the rainforest furniture.

- They have large brick open fireplaces, central heating and cooling, fully equipped kitchens, king beds, full surround sound systems with DVD, iPod dock and CD players for your enjoyment that even gets piped into the spa room. The most significant feature of the bungalows is the glass walled spa room. The huge oval therapeutic quality spa with high pressure air blower and heated water jets that provide a true aquatic massage, invites total relaxation. The spa is sunken into a heated tiled floor and sits before glass doors that open onto the large deck overlooking the fern gully. This creates a truly indoor/outdoor feel, enhancing the nature based experience.
