Things to do: Fishing - The Snowy Mountains has long been regarded as one of the fresh water fishing meccas in Australia. At Carinya Alpine Village we can arrange fishing guides, guided trips and lessons. Beginners welcome. Bushwalking - The top of Australia has long been known for its fabulous walking. There are simple walks to Mt Kosciuszko, Australia's highest peak, or treks out to Blue Lake and Charlotte Pass. One of our favourites is the walk out to Cascades Hut, renowned for views of the wild highland brumbies. The local National Parks centre can provide many books outlining the great walks available.
