Gold Medal Winner 'Tourist Attraction' 2011, Featherdale boasts the world's premier collection of Australian wildlife allowing visitors to get up close to over 2200 animals. You can cuddle up to a koala for Free and hand feed kangaroos all day.

Located at Blacktown, en route to the famous Blue Mountains, Featherdale is one of the region's leading attractions. From the initial greeting by the swaggie and joey at the entrance to the park, visitors are encouraged to get up close to Australia's native wildlife.

As well as numerous koalas and kangaroos, features include face-to-face encounters with all kinds of wildlife including Dingoes, Tasmanian devils, an amazingly diverse range of birds and over 30 species of reptiles in the Reptilian Pavilion.

You'll also get the chance to encounter some more unexpected highlights such as albino animals, Fairy Penguins, Jabiru, Bustards, a 4 ½ metre Saltwater Crocodile and over 30 species of endangered or vulnerable animals.

Getting There
Take a train to Blacktown and then a 10min ride on Bus 725 will drop you right outside the Park's gates. Or from M4, Take the Wallgrove Rd exit, and follow the brown tourist signs to the Park. Or from M2, The M2 becomes the M7. Take the Great Western Highway exit, turn left onto the Great Western Highway and follow the brown tourist signs to the Park. Or from M7 (travelling North) - Take the Wallgrove Road exit at Old Wallgrove Road, turn right into Wallgrove Road and follow the brown tourist signs to the Park.

9am - 5pm every day (closed Christmas Day)
