The Yellow Submarine Backpackers is a small, clean, friendly hostel located in the backpacker hub of Brisbane. We are a 5 minute walk from Brisbane city and the Transit Centre and offer a variety of accommodation options to suit the needs of any budget conscious backpacker.

At the Yellow Submarine , we offer many facilities for travellers from helping you book tours to finding work. We have a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ area,chill room with television and several outdoor social areas including a swimming pool. We pride ourselves on creating a good atmosphere in the hostel and offer everyone a FREE meal every Sunday [Pizza or BBQ].

At the Yellow Submarine we have large dorm rooms [6-8 beds] and small dorm rooms [3-4 beds]. Both are a great choice for those wanting to meet other travellers. We also have private twin and double rooms available for those wanting a little more privacy.

Details

Getting There: We can be found on Quay Street just 5 minutes from Brisbane Transit Center (Roma Street Bus and Train Station). From the airport either take the AirTrain to Roma Street, or catch the Coachtrans service direct to our door.
Opening Times: Reception is open all day from 7am until 10pm, 7 days a week. Late night checkins outside office hours are easily arranged.
Local Area: Our excellent location makes it easy to explore all that Brisbane has to offer including Australia Zoo, the Theme Parks such as Wet and Wild, Dream World and Movie World, all within a short driving distance. Within Brisbane city and walking distance from our hostel you can enjoy places such as Southbank, Fortitude Valley, the Botanic Gardens Parklands and many more attractions.
Please Note: The Yellow Submarine is an International Hostel for travellers and backpackers, you must have a valid international pass-port for check-in.

I arrived in Brisbane from England with no idea of where to go or what to do. I found the Yellow Sub in the Lonely Planet. It's a bit difficult to find, but worth the effort.
