Thala Beach Lodge provides five star nature resort accommodation 38km north of Cairns and 16 kilometres South of Port Douglas.

Timber bungalows are scattered amongst a hundred and forty five acres of wooded headland and secluded beaches. For the perfect eco lodge experience, choose Thala Beach Lodge in North QLD.

Offering deluxe timber bungalows set high on poles in the forest canopy, with a choice of Jungle Walk Bungalows, Eucalypt Bungalows and Coral Sea Bungalows.

Included in the tariff are guided birdwatching walks, bush walks, a wide range of nature based activities, evening presentations by local experts and tansfers to & from Port Douglas.

Thala Beach Lodge also boasts its own private Star Gazing Observatory and Day Spa. Sit back and relax or take a nature walk, go kayaking, take a trip out to the Great Barrier Reef or a safari to the rainforests of the Daintree & Cape Tribulation. All the tours in the region pick up & return to Thala.

Getting There: Thala is situated 45 minutes drive north from Cairns international and domestic airports. Our private entrance and driveway is off the main Captain Cook Highway approximately 16 kilometres south of Port Douglas. Thala Beach Lodge will also arrange for your airport transfers by prior arrangement, please advise flight arrival details. Cost $30 p/p each way.
Please Note: Visiting Cairns or Port Douglas for a business conference or event? Thala Beach Lodge is the perfect option for your pre and post conference get-together. Thala is located 10 minutes, by regular shuttle, from Port Douglas. All tours in the Cairns, Port Douglas area pick up at the Lodge. All local specialist tours can be arranged for you after arrival.
