Homelea Spa Cottage & Apartments invite you to enjoy their spacious, clean & peaceful accommodation in St Helens, on the East Coast of Tasmania. These versatile Holiday Apartments & Private Spa Cottage have everything you need while you are away from your own home.

Choose from 8 tastefully furnished 1 or 2-bedroom apartments, or a 4-star private Spa Cottage. Apartments feature modern kitchens (except 1 bedroom Apartment), spacious living areas including a dining room/lounge room, and bathroom. One apartment has disabled bathroom facilites. Features include an 81cm LCD TV, & Free DVD'sto watch. Within easy walking distance into the Central St Helens township. You will find our accommodation very spacious & clean & we provide you with informative information about our area on your arrival. We have very spacious grounds & a playground. We Are Very Child Friendly with a toy box in every Apartment and generous grounds for children to Play.

Getting There
St Helens is located approximately 2 hours by car from Launceston and 3 hours from Hobart. The trip from Launceston can be made via Scottsdale, with scenic views and winding roads as you approach St Helens and the East Coast. It is approximately 3 hours drive from Launceston to St Helens via Scottsdale or 2 hours via Avoca. The trip from Hobart via the Heritage Highway /Avoca is 3 Hours or via the East Coast Road which travels through Swansea, it is 3 1/2 Hours. Please be aware when travelling at Sunset or late at night that we have a lot of Wildlife on the Roads which you can sometimes run over, This cannot be helped sometimes but slowing down during the evening can help.
Things to do
There is so much to see & do in St Helens & its surrounding areas. You can take a fishing charter or tour by Boat or Bus. Visit the Pyengana region, & see the the highest waterfalls in Tassie or Pricilla the beer drinking pig at the Pub in the Paddock If you like cheese, visit the Pyengana Dairy Company. The Blue Tier region is old Chinese Tin Mining Country. Experience the Bay Of Fires Beach at the Gardens Road at Sunrise or Sunset it is Magic! Our beaches are very long with fine white sand & you will always find a deserted beach of your own. If you like shopping, St Helens can help you out with many shops to choose from including 2 Supermarkets, 2 Liquor Marts, 2 Service Stations, (BP is open 24 Hours), secondhand shops etc & many Coffee shops & Restaurants.
Special Events
March Long Weekend is the St Helens Game Fishing Classic.. Come along and see the Big Marlins get weighed in or participate yourself in catching them. Also on the March Long Weekens and only a 3/4 of an hour drive away is the Fingal Festival which includes the famous Coal shovelling contest or the roof screwing contest. the Easter Long Weekend is always busy and eventful so come along and enjoy a break before the Winter.. Also in April is the Swimcart Fishing competition.. there are a lot of prizes to be one for children and adults. In May is Agfest which is only a 2 hour Drive from St Helens.. well worth a look.. there are many marquis lined streets on a huge paddock where you can buy almost anything. June is the Long Weekend... take a break in Winter, St Helens has very mild Winter days. Northern Tasmania has a long Weekend in November for Remeberance day.. book early to avoid dissappointment

Reception is open from 9am to 6pm. All enquiries are welcome before and After the Reception is open and for late checkins or enquiries we have a Cortesy Phone outside the reception which directly calls the Manager to assist you.

All I can say is a big thank you to John & Sue for providing us with such a spacious, clean, and comfortable cottage to spend part of our Honeymoon in.
